New Delta SkyMiles® ‘Pay with Miles’ Program

Introducing “Pay with Miles,” the new progam available exclusively to Gold and Platinum Delta SkyMiles® American Express cardmembers. The new built-in program offers added flexibility and more control over travel and payment options by allowing miles to be used to book flights on Delta.com. Purchase all or part of a Delta ticket, anytime with no restrictions or blackout dates. “We are delighted to partner with Delta to offer this new SkyMiles program feature exclusively to our premium American Express Delta SkyMiles Cardmembers,” said Pam Codispoti, senior vice president and general manager, American Express.
Complimenting Delta’s existing SkyMiles® Program, “Pay with Miles” cardmembers can pay for any Delta seat, in any class of service and on any route with no limits on benefits or miles. Miles that have been banked, as well as those earned by spending on the card, are eligible. There is no charge for the service and no enrollment is required. For every 10,000 Miles redeemed, Cardmembers will receive $100 to cover all or part of their total fare. Cardholders can log into Delta.com using their SkyMiles number and pin to use the feature. Select the desired flight by choosing the “Pay with Miles” icon and pay for all or part of the ticket with Miles and your American Express Gold or Platinum Delta SkyMiles credit card.
Pay with Miles pricing is flexible and based on base fares of a flight (not including taxes and airline fees). For base fares less than $100: 25,000 Miles equals a free flight.
For base fares between $100 and $249.99 cardholders have the following options:
- Redeem 10,000 Miles for $100 off the cost of the flight
- Redeem for a free flight starts at 25,000 Miles (increase by increments of
5,000 Miles to cover the total fare.)
For base fares between $250 and $999.99 cardholders have the following options:
- Redeem 10,000 Miles for $100 off the cost of the flight, or
- Redeem Miles in 5,000 increments equal to $50 off the cost of the flight.
Options for base fares equal to or greater than $1,000:
- Redeem 10,000 Miles for $100 off the cost of the flight, or
- Redeem Miles in increments of 10,000 miles equal to $100 off the cost of the flight.
Refundable fares paid for fully or partially with SkyMiles® will be refunded in accordance with the Pay with Miles “terms and conditions”. For details, visit delta.com/paywithmiles.
